Knowledge is Power

June 25, 2020

For many business leaders the repopulation of offices in the aftermath on COVID is an entirely new challenge, for the professionals at Janitronics it is another hurdle to jump.

Janitronics, President Jim Harris, Jr., spoke at the Saratoga Economic Development Corporation’s (SEDC) Knowledge is Power webinar recently. Jim shared his expertise on how to safely reopen buildings. As offices begin to reopen, leaders are working to identify the necessary steps to maintain a safe and healthy environment, while keeping up with new New York State regulations and preparing to document these new measures.

SEDC members who took part in the webinar were able to learn from Jim and ask questions on how best to navigate these unsettled waters. Jim laid out best cleaning and sanitation practices, emphasizing the need to take a fresh look at common areas and high-touch equipment, like coffee stations and water coolers.
Jim also discussed the emerging tools within the industry designed to help keep offices and employees safe and healthy. These include: electrostatic spraying, self-cleaning surfaces/NanoSeptic, and carpet cleaning, among others.

These emerging efforts are in addition to the daily cleaning which is necessary and valued now, more than ever. Jim stated the best defense is still consistent cleaning, “there is nothing more effective than extensive professional cleaning for the workplace.”
